Titans allrounder Simion Muller has been flown in to replace the injured Kaiser Gantsho for the remainder of the Over-50 Cricket World Cup.
Border-based left-arm seamer Gantsho injured his shoulder diving for the ball in the win against Wales at Milnerton High School, having just bowled nine overs on the trott in a spell of 1/38.
After sitting out the first two games of the tournament, he made his debut against Namibia and returned figures of 6-1-11-2.
“It’s very sad to miss out on the rest of the tournament … I’m gutted,” Gantsho said. “But at least I got the chance to play at the World Cup; to represent my country and wear the Protea on my chest. For that I will always be grateful!”
